Love my TRX!

by Sandy

TRX is not just for travel! I have one hanging in my house out of the way and use it regularly. Typically I'll do my cardio workout first, then two sets of everything on the TRX. I really like not having to switch hand weights or adjust disks on bars. It's so easy to get the resistance right and adjusting your angle or stance gives you the difficulty level, or weight, that you want.

I find that by having this one contraption in my house I am more likely to do my strength training on those days that I don't go to the gym. And in the nice weather I can do it outside, a real bonus.

The video gives good ideas of exercises and a basic workout. I've taken several classes at the gym with a qualified TRX trainer so I feel that I know how to use good form and maximize my workout. I've even had her design a program just for me, and periodically update and change it up or increase the level of difficulty.

Being middle-aged can pose workout challenges for anyone. For me, it's my hands and toes that don't want to cooperate. Traditional pushups or putting weight on my palms is painful, but on the TRX the weight distribution with the handles is comfortable. I can also do exercises without bending my toes if I don't want to, but can still target my abs or gluts or do the work.

Some people may think the price is high for a system of straps and handles, but if you use it and get a good workout from it, I say it is worth it. And it does pack up small and if you want to take it with you on the road, you can!

Good Points!
by: Aaron McCloud

Sandy, those are some great points you're made! Especially how easy it is to adjust the TRX and not worry about weight plates, dumbbells, etc. Which I know can be a pain.

Also, how middle-aged people can use TRX to go easier on their bodies. Cool!

"About 2 weeks ago I read all the ab strengthening stuff on your site because I decided I wanted to be strong, instead of having a lot of belly fat. So I started eating healthier, running, exercising, you name it - everything your site said to do to help. Now I am noticing a real difference! Thank you for making this. :D xD"

[This calorie calculator is] the most useful tool on the web that I can find… Also, I compared the calories calculated by your calculator to the calories calculated by the treadmill at my gym, and they're within a couple calories of each other, so yours is as accurate as we're going to get. REALLY AWESOME TOOL. I love it and depend on it. Thank you sooooo much for making this available."

Thank you very much, I was too lean before 2 years (55 Kgs), after the gym now I'm 72kgs, all the muscles have developed... when someone hand shakes with me it can be squeezed easily, they're making fun of me!
